The Madison Chain of lakes has been fishing tough all year, but a cold front dropping temps into the low forties at night with a high in the low 60’s during the day, 2 days before the event made fishing even tougher.  Despite the cold weather and high winds a quarter of the field still managed to bring in a 5 fish limit on day one.

Adam Eisele led the way with an impressive 18.73 day one total.   On day two the wind died down and the temps rose into the high 60’s.  Despite the better weather conditions the bite remained tough and the top weights dropped slightly from day one.  In the end Jayson Shull(33.20) and Adam Eisele (31.78) Advanced on to the national championship from Wisconsin and Eric Ritter (19.03) advanced on from Minnesota in the boater division.  On the Co angler side Robert Beaman(19.16) from Minnesota, Dan Hayes (13.16) and Andrew Hegerty (10.14) from Wisconsin advanced onto nationals.
