Ontario TBF Dream Team Rally a BIG Hit with 33 Teams; Marrocco and Grigull Win on Georgian Bay

Ponca City, Okla. (June 27, 2012) — The Bass Federation’s brand new Dream Team Rally tournament trail announced today, Peter Marrocco and Oliver Grigull, from Ontario are the first Dream Team Rally Champions for the Canada Bass Angler’s Federation, (CBAF) Dream Team Rally event on Georgian Bay out of Port Severn, Ontario.  “Our first place team walks away with a $2,000 prize package, including cash, paid entry fees and a travel stipend to go with their invitation to the 2013 TBF Dream Team National Championship Rally,” CBAF President, Rick Weatherill, stated.  “The event went really great, and every team caught a limit of bass. We can’t wait to host another one!”

The CBAF Dream Team event awarded the top three teams an invitation to advance to the 2013 TBF Dream Team National Championship Rally.  The second place team was Pete Bartonek and Ryan Susanna with 19.59 lbs.  Finishing in third and receiving the final invitation was Tom Hardy and Eric Luzak with 18.81 lbs.  In total, the event paid out cash and prizes to 1st – 6th place and two big bass awards.  The first and second place big bass awards went to the teams of Todd Crowley and Derek Brzezicki and Rick Weatherill and Sean McLaughlin. Dream Team event payouts and advancements are based on number of boats, with a 10 boat minimum to host an event. ALL interested TBF clubs and TBF affiliated federations can go online to register.  There’s no limit on how many you can host or fish for a chance to advance to a national dream “vacation” event on a famous fishery with a national prize pool and payouts deep to the field.

“It was great to be able to fish with a friend; the camaraderie fishing with a friend was a great thing for us,” Grigull said. “We caught some good fish, and we had a big largemouth and a big smallmouth that really anchored our bag.”  Their winning stringer weighed in at 20.68 lbs.  “This was a great event,” Marrocco stated.  “I mean its Tuesday, and we had 33 teams compete.  It just shows you the passion for the format; go TBF and congratulations dream team.”
