Ponca City, Okla. (October 2, 2012) — The Bass Federation’s brand new Dream Team tournament trail is excited to announce Josh Polfer and K.C. Lane won the IBM Dream Team Rally hosted by the Idaho Bass Federation. The event was held September 22 on CJ Strike Reservoir in Mountain Home, Id. “The weather conditions were perfect,” IBM Dream Team Event Coordinator, Steve Spear, said. “C.J. Strike delivered as an excellent smallmouth fishery.”
In total, the event paid out cash and prizes to first and second place teams and two big bass awards. The first place team also received a paid invite to the 2013 Dream Team National Championship with a travel stipend, a $1,000 total prize package.
Polfer and Lane had a five bass limit weighing 17.9lbs. They were also the top big bass winners with a solid 3.93lb bass. “Polfer fished the Bassmaster Classic this year and Lane had never competed in a federation tournament before,” Spear continued. “The dream team event reached out to TBF and non-TBF members alike and gave them an opportunity to fish locally to advance directly to a national event! That is what the dream team is all about; it doesn’t get much better than that!”
The second place team was Larry Burton and Victor Azevedo with a limit of bass weighing 14.06lbs. Burton and Azevedo finished in the money both overall and with the second place big bass that weighed 3.74lbs.
