Two Years In A Row, Alabama Closes The Door on the TBF Southern Division Championship

Last year in  June 2013 the Alabama Bass Federation dominated the TBF Southern Division Championship on Lake Barkley at Clarksville Tennessee. The only thing that changed in a years time is the geography as Alabama dominated the TBF Southern Division Championship again this year on Lake Neely Henry and won the event going away with a three day total for their 12 team members combined weight of 362-02  which equates to a margin of win of a whopping 67 pounds and 8 ounces!

Second place is where the real race was as no one challenged Alabama.   Less than 2 pounds separated the second place squad from North Carolina (294-10)  from third place finisher Georgia (292-13). The next race was between 4th and 5th between Kentucky (278-02) and South Carolina (275-03) with only one legal fish separating the two. Winding up in sixth was Tennessee with 266-10 and in Seventh was Florida 260-10.

In the individual standings and the race for the division champions title the lead changed daily, Georgia angler Joe Eubanks led day 1 with 16-03, after that it was all Alabama anglers. Wes Logan led day 2, but it was Terry Tucker who hails from Gadsden, Alabama who finished atop the pile on the final day and claimed the division champions title and advancing to the 2015 TBF Federation National Championship as the boater from Alabama.

Under the TBF format the top angler from each state team advances as the boater to the championship and the second place angler from each state advances as a non-boater.  The championship anglers advancing from each state are:
