Allen Boyd and Rhett Fornoff Command Titles and All the Glory, at the 2011 Federation National Championship on Lake Nickajack

April 16, 2011 (Chattanooga, Tenn) – Emotions ran high today as the 2011 Federation National Championship presented by the National Guard came to a dramatic close.  The Chattanooga Convention Center housed the main event, and a lively crowd grew still as each weight was settled and the fates of the 14 hopeful TBF anglers hung in the balance.   All 14 Division Champions earned berths in the 2011 BFL All-American in Shreveport, Louisiana May 19-21, and the national champions qualified for the prestigious Forrest Wood Cup.

But, today it was all about naming the national champions and it literally came down to ounces.  Allen Boyd and Rhett Fornoff emerged victorious.  Allen Boyd the champion boater walks away with the $100,000 “Living the Dream” prize package that includes cash, fully-paid entry fees to the FLW Tour as a tour pro, use of a custom ‘Living The Dream’ wrapped Chevy Truck and wrapped Ranger Boat on tour for the year, plus a travel stipend for each event. TBF Anglers Stop at Nothing, Fishing for the Dream of a Lifetime on Lake Nickajack; 14 Division Champions Advance

Kimball, Tennessee, (April 15, 2011) Torrential downpours didn’t stop the show today as 94 TBF State Champion anglers fought until the bitter end on day two of the 2011 Federation National Championship presented by the National Guard on Lake Nickajack in Kimball, Tenn.  14 TBF anglers advance to the final round to vie for the National Champion titles.  These 14 anglers put it all on the line today through the elements and came out 2011 Division Champions earning berths in the BFL All-American.  Tomorrow, one boater and one non-boater will be crowned National Champions and receive spots in the 2011 Forrest Wood Cup.  The 2011 Federation National Champion boater will also receive the $100,000 “Living the Dream” prize package, including cash and prizes, fully paid entry fees into the FLW tour, travel funds and use of a wrapped Ranger Boat and Chevrolet truck for the year.  The anglers know what’s at stake; tomorrow, we’ll see who has what it takes to seize the titles and all the glory. 2011 Federation National Championship is underway; 94 TBF elite hit ‘em, and hit ‘em hard on Lake Nickajack

The bite is on and the anglers are hungry fighting for a dream they can almost taste; the 2011 TBF National Champion titles and all the glory will be decided this week on Lake Nickajack in Kimball, Tenn.   The TBF national champion boater will earn the esteemed $100,000 “Living the Dream” prize package, including cash and prizes, fully paid entry fees into the FLW tour, travel funds and use of a wrapped Ranger Boat and Chevrolet truck for the year.  The national champion boater and non-boater will also receive berths in the 2011 Forrest Wood Cup and BFL All-American.  There’s a lot on the line for these state champions and the competition is tight.  Tomorrow, it’s all or nothing, as the final cut will decide the top 14 division champions, seven on the boater and non-boater sides, who will vie for the 2011 Federation National Champion titles. Free Family Fishing Day June 18 at Franklin Park in Loudoun County, VA

Want to learn how to fish and have a great day of fun for the entire family? Come out and fish at our free 18 June 2011 Family Fishing Day at Franklin Park in Purcellville Virginia.  Registration will be 08:00 – 09:00 AM. There will be a morning fishing tournament for children 09:00 – 11:30 AM, a picnic including hot dogs and hamburgers 11:30 – 12:30 PM, and a Casting Skills Competition for children 09:00 – 12:00 AM.  Trophies and Prizes will be awarded 1:00 – 2:00 PM.
